Chris YUEN is a consultant for the Playright Children’s Play Association with a passion for advocating child-friendly environments to make them accessible, playable, safe and inclusive. He graduated from School of Design, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and received Master of Design (Design Strategy) in 2010. From 2009 to 2019, he has been leading play environment team in completing a series of human-centred public play space advocacy and education programmes in Hong Kong. These include the Playgrounds for All seminar collaborated with NRPA/ISPI, Playground Users’ Needs Survey collaborated with Social Science Research Centre of The University of Hong Kong, Design of Children’s Play Environment Seminar and Workshops collaborated with MIG, Inc, Access for All to Play Workshop collaborated with ISPI, first Inclusive Play Space Design Idea Competition and Exhibition co-organized with UNICEF HK and HKILA, Seminar on European Playground Safety Standard & Risk-benefit Assessment of Children’s Play Area Workshop collaborated with RoSPA, the implementation of pilot Inclusive Play Space at Tuen Mun Park collaborated with Architectural Services Department, Junior Playground Commissioner Incubation Programme supported by Leisure Cultural Services Department, the publication of the Inclusive Play Space Guide supported by UNICEF HK and “Junior Playground Planner” collaborated with The Mission Covenant Church Holm Glad No. Primary School.
