Target Group: Participants on a family basis with a child aged between 3 and 10.

*The play ideas exhibited and executed in Playright Playful Bear Hospital are basically designed based on the consideration of the child development in general. It is advised parents to consider the actual abilities and preference of their child(ren) before deciding to participate in this charity activity.
Special Note:
  • The donation includes the admission for 1 child aged between 3 and 10, and 1 accompanying adult aged 18 or above, i.e. 1 child and 1 adult.
  • Upon the actual operations at venue and the quality experience for participants, only 1 additional accompanying adult will be authorized upon the settlement of additional donation, i.e. a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child per family basis for participation.
  • If there is the 4th family member who wishes to participate from the same family, it is advised for the new registration as a new family unit.
Quota: 200 families per Morning session; 150 families per Afternoon session (limited quota, first-come-first-served)
Donation:
  • A minimum of HK$500 donation per each family, i.e. 1 child and 1 adult, is required.;
  • A minimum of HK$100 additional donation per 1 additional accompanying adult is required.
Registration:
  • Each online application is limited to one family unit, i.e. 1 adult and 1 child, only.

1. Aims and Objectives for Fundraising ▼
  • Support Hospital Play, Support Sick Children!
    Anxiety, nervousness and loneliness are always the feelings among the sick children in pediatric wards during their journey of recovery with medical treatments. Be children in hospitals, they have the right to engage in play and recreational activities appropriate to their age, to rebuild their resilience against their illnesses and to enjoy the funny play time.

  • Experienced in Hospital Play Service in 30 years, Playright not only provide with play services in public hospitals, we also specially plan and organize “Playful Bear Hospital” for getting families to understand and experience the hospital play outside wards. Through the play day, children will be empathizing and caring others. They will think of making donations to support sick children to enjoy play opportunities in wards.
2. What does Hospital Play look like? ▼
  • Each play time session will be extended to 2 hours and the venue will be moved to more extensive space on Island side.
  • Participating children are welcome to be our Playful Bear Hospital Houseman and follow the explanation and instructions from the volunteering healthcare professionals to complete various skills applied to the selected medical operations or procedural medical treatments including Anaesthesiology and Peroperative Medicine, cast and cast removal in the Department of Pediatric Orthopedics, ultrasound examination in the Department of Cardiology and skin prick test in the Department of Immunology and Allergy.
  • Bring along your lovely toy doll and start experiencing the procedural play in different paediatric departments like the Magnetic Resonance Imaging in the Department of Radiology, X-ray and fracture examination in the Department of Orthopaedics, blood drawing and the intravenous catheter procedure in the Department of Children and Adolescents, meal selection in the Department of Immunology and Allergy, and the heart rate identification in the Department of Cardiology.
  • Various play ideas for medical play including mysterious patient’s bed, wound suturing, walking with cardbox ambulance, free building of blood vessel channels, pill ejection, role-playing have been prepared in the Free Play Zone.
  • Collect different stamp chops and learn how to relax with different coping skills.
  • Free options for leisure and play with fun entertainment will be available.
  • Sharing sessions from in-practice healthcare professionals for parents will be held.
3. Payment Method ▼
  • Online enrollment: only Visa/Master Card accepted via Paypal
4. Is there any quota for enrollment and any enrollment deadline? ▼
  • 200 families per Morning session and 150 families per Afternoon session, a total of 3 sessions per event day. Limited quota while stock lasts.
5. How do we confirm the successful enrollment? ▼

6. Will there be any walk-in enrollment? ▼
  • Yes, the quota for the walk-in enrollment is dependent upon the attendance of the participants with the pre-booking confirmation. It is advised to enroll online in the designated period before event date to ensure the successful participation.
7. Will there be any additional session for the fundraising event? ▼
  • Please follow our updates on Facebook, IG and webpages for the latest announcement for further news of the fundraising event.
8. Do we have the donation receipt? ▼
  • No donation receipt is/ will be issued for this fundraising activity. The Playright Children’s Play Association is a registered charity in Hong Kong. Your donation will be used to support Playright Hospital Play Service and the sick children in play during their journey of recovery.
9. Do we accept direct donation? ▼
  • Yes, it is always welcome! We encouraged any hearty donation to support play in hospital for sick children.
    • Only HK$180 cash donation made per month, a sick child will be benefit from the hospital play during his/her hospitalization.
